CHHS celebrates heart health in style

Monday, February 4, 2013

The College of Health and Human Services celebrated the American Heart Association Go Red/Wear Red initiative with a reception for faculty, staff and college partners on Friday, Feb. 1. The event was created to raise awareness of heart disease, which is the number-one killer of women in the United States. Attendees enjoyed heart-healthy foods and beverages.

In addition to the reception, organizers hosted a social media campaign and student poster contest. The nearly 30 posters submitted by students were displayed at the event and judged by the attendees. Contest winners will be announced this week.
