Benefits Festival set for Feb. 25

The University’s annual Benefits Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.

In addition to free food and door prizes, the Benefits Festival will include free cholesterol screenings and financial planning sessions (registration required) and blood pressure checks, mammograms and chair massages.

The cholesterol screenings, conducted by Novant Health, will be available to the first 100 employees who register (email Eric Lanier at eelanier@uncc.edu or call 704-687-0649).

Lincoln Financial Advisors will offer “Savvy Social Security Planning: What Baby Boomers Need to Know to Maximize Retirement Income” at 11:30 a.m. in Salon E; seating limited to the first 50 registrants (email Eric Lanier at eelanier@uncc.edu or call 704-687-0649).

Bank of America will present “Reclaim Your Retirement” at 1 p.m. in Salon E. Seating limited to the first 50 employees (email Eric Lanier at eelanier@uncc.edu or call 704-687-0649).

The Presbyterian Mobile Breast Center will be on site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind the Student Activity Center; no appointment is required. Participants should bring their insurance card and a picture ID.

Student Health Services will offer blood pressure checkups, and Weig Chiropractic Center will offer chair massages.
