Persian culture program scheduled for April 14

The seventh biennial Persian culture program will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 14, in the Rowe Arts Building Recital Hall.

This year’s program is entitled “Celebrating Love and Passion” and will feature an introduction to the 13th-century poet Moulana Jalal ad-Din Rumi, followed by a reading of his selected works in Farsi and English. There also will be music and spiritual dancing.

Admission is free for UNC Charlotte students, faculty and staff members and $20 for the public. Faculty and staff members should pick up a complimentary ticket at the Office of International Programs. The Chancellor’s Diversity Challenge Fund is providing support for this event.
