UWM professor to discuss ‘Beyond Slavery’

James Sweet, the Vilas-Jartz Distinguished Achievement Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will discuss “Beyond Slavery: Africanizing Atlantic World History” at 5 p.m., Monday, April 8, in Denny Building, Room 200, as part of the 2013 Spring Colloquium on African Civilization sponsored by the Africana Studies Department.
