Students recognized for symposium presentations/posters

At the recent 13th annual Graduate Research Symposium, the top two entrants in each category were recognized for their work. Awards were given for presentations as well as posters.  

This year’s first- and second-place presentation winners were Sarah Hass and Seth Brazell (biology and chemistry), N. Rich Nguyen and Thomas Fasciano (computer science), Tracy Chouinard and Shubhashini Oza (engineering), Petra Porter and Ashish Panday (health and education) and Alexandra Dunn and Sara Gleave (social sciences and humanities).

The top two poster award recipients were Christopher Hudel and Matthew Keatts (computer and engineering), Tiffany Williams and Stephen Rego (mixed physical and natural sciences) and Hannah Peach and Joshua Noone (social sciences, humanities and health and education).

The Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG,) in collaboration with the Graduate School, J. Murrey Atkins Library and the Diversity in Information Technology Institute with sponsorship from the Charlotte Research Institute, organized the symposium to foster and promote the rich and diverse research environment of UNC Charlotte.
