CCI to hold fifth annual SaaS conference

Software as a Service (SaaS) has become a common delivery model for many business applications, including accounting, collaboration, customer relationship management (CRM), management information systems (MIS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), invoicing, human resource management (HRM), content management (CM) and service desk management.

The fifth annual UNC Charlotte Cloud and Mobile Computing/SaaS Conference, hosted by the College of Computing and Informatics on Wednesday, April 24, will provide insight and answers for both IT and business professionals. Attendees will include prospective customers of SaaS solutions (including non-technical business personnel), application service providers, infrastructure providers, technology providers and associated support providers.

This conference will be from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., April 24, and CEU and CPE credits will be offered. The list of distinguished conference speakers includes Ben Weiner (Titan), Brian Hitney (Microsoft), Chad Stachowicz, Curtis Hughes (C5 Insight), Doug Rubin, Ehab Al-Shaer, Greg Artzt, Igor Jablokov, Jeremiah Cook (Varrow), Jermy Olson (UNC Charlotte), John Kirkpatrick, Josh Jewett (family Dollar), Mark Boggs (Verizon Wireless), Michael Krumpe (Verizon), Oneyka Nchege, Richard Brasser, Scott Middlebrooks (Perficient), Shahab Choudhry (Propelics), Steve Costa (InMage), Ted Claypoole (WCSR).

Registration and other details are online. The conference is free to UNC Charlotte students, faculty and staff. The cost for others is $125 for individual registrants. Members of NCTA, NCHICA, CISSP, CrTec, IToLogy, CASN Business, BIG and Sim can obtain a special registration fee through their association; members who have not received registration information should contact their respective associations.
