The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association will hold “Tire Talk: A Drive Down Memory Lane” at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 19, in the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC).
This panel will feature members of Alan Kulwicki’s pit crew, who will share personal stories and reflections of what it was like to work the 1992 NASCAR champion.
The cost to attend the panel is $7 through May 18 and $10 at the door; UNC Charlotte students can register to attend for free. Seating for the event starts at 2:30 p.m.
According to officials, the goal of this event is to increase the endowment of the Alan Kulwicki Memorial Scholarship, so the amount of the award given to a student can be raised from when the scholarship was first established.
