Betty Coulter, director of risk management and insurance in the Department of Risk Management, Safety and Security, is the subject of the cover story of the May/June edition of Public Risk magazine. Coulter is serving as president of the national Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA), the largest risk management association dedicated solely to the practice of risk management in the public sector.
PRIMA’s membership comes from more than 2,000 entities in greater than 1,800 jurisdictions; its members coordinate risk management, purchase insurance, manage human resources, administer safety and environmental programs, manage labor issues, oversee parks and recreation programs and much more.
