Chancellor’s Office adds new position

Jennifer Ward has joined UNC Charlotte in a new position within the Office of the Chancellor. She will serve as liaison to the Board of Trustees and the Chancellor’s Cabinet.

In this role, Ward will work to develop agendas, draft minutes and ensure compliance with the laws and regulations that govern the activities of the board. In addition, she will coordinate the arrangements for all board and cabinet meetings and retreats.

Prior to UNC Charlotte, Ward worked in the private and public sectors. Most notably, she served as staff assistant in the Office of the Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. A longtime freelance writer, she has edited and proofread many projects ranging from academic texts to children’s books.

A graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in French, Ward earned a Master of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University.
