Inside UNC Charlotte will provide live coverage of the official groundbreaking ceremony for the extension of the Charlotte Area Transit System’s LYNX light rail starting at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 18, in Uptown Charlotte.
Chancellor Philip L. Dubois; Gov. Pat McCrory; Charlotte Mayor Patsy Kinsey; Peter Rogoff, an official with the Federal Transit Administration; Mecklenburg County Commissioner Pat Cotham; and Carolyn Flowers, CATS CEO; and other elected officials and community leaders will be in attendance.
Members of the campus community are invited to attend the ceremony across the street from the 9th Street Station (228 East Ninth Street).
