Christine Talbot, a computer science major in the College of Computing and Informatics (CCI), recently received a National Science Foundation (NSF) scholarship to attend the 2013 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference. She was selected from a competitive pool of 900-plus applicants.

The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is a series of conferences designed to bring the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. Considered the world’s largest gathering of women in computing, it is presented by the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology and the Association for Computing Machinery.

Conference presenters are leaders in their respective fields, and top researchers present their work with special sessions devoted to the role of women in today’s technology fields.
