Retirement reception set for TEALR’s Nixon

The College of Education’s Teacher Education Advising Licensure and Recruitment Office will host a retirement reception in honor of Sam Nixon from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, in the College of Education, Room 110.

Nixon, a licensure officer and lead advisor, has been with the University since October 1986. According to TEALR officials, Nixon has been a vital part of the campus community, and “for the past 11 years, he has meticulously reviewed licensure applications for our students and advised them throughout their academic careers in the College of Education.”
