Friday, September 6, 2013

The University’s Police and Public Safety Department will hold its third annual Campus Car Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, in Parking Lot 5A.

At this free, public event, attendees will be able to view vehicles exhibited by students, faculty, staff and alumni as well as learn about emergency equipment used by first responders. Representatives from PPS and other area agencies will be on hand.

September is National Campus Safety Awareness Month, and PPS is working with other campus units to communicate crime prevention and safety tips to students, faculty and staff members.

According to Officer Jerry Lecomte, the department has a number of activities and educational events planned for the month, such as alcohol awareness and Operation ID tables, RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) sessions and Drunk Buster Goggles.
