Belk College of Business Dean Steve Ott recently appointed Scott Frame the Belk Distinguished Professor of Business.

Frame received doctorate and master’s degrees in economics from the University of Georgia; his undergraduate degree in economics was from Arizona State University.  Prior to joining the Belk College in 2012, he was a financial economist and senior policy advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

Created in 1990 from a gift by the Belk Foundation, the Belk Distinguished Professor of Business was funded to enhance the academic and research programs of the Belk College of Business.

"The Belk Professor is called on to assist with faculty development and provide important guidance to the programmatic development of the college," Ott said. "Scott Frame's outstanding research record and leadership abilities make him most worthy of this distinguished faculty appointment."
