Counseling Center staff member receives fellowship

Rebecca MacNair-Semands, senior associate director in the Counseling Center, recently was awarded a Fellowship in the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) at the organization’s annual conference in Boston.

MacNair-Semands has served as the chair and co-founder of the Section on University Counseling Centers of the American Psychological Association (APA) and is the current co-chair of the Science to Service Task Force for the AGPA Board of Directors.  She has worked for the UNC Charlotte Counseling Center for more than 20 years, where she coordinates clinical and group services. She has delivered 40-plus national and international professional presentations and has published 30 articles and book chapters and one book on ethics.
