Get ready for Camps on Campus

With nearly 1,000 enrollees thus far, the 2014 edition of Camps on Campus should be another amazing experience.

Offered by UNC Charlotte Extended Academic Programs Office, Camps on Campus features 45 daytime camps, each running for one week (Monday through Friday) between June 16 and Aug. 8. This year features a number of new topics to go along with classic camp favorites, and half-day camps for younger students will be introduced.

Full-day camps include:

Cool School for rising grades 1-4 featuring topics such as Storytellers, Puppetry and Costume Fun; Gold Rush Adventure; and Can You Dig It? Archaeology Rocks.

49er Minors for rising grades 5-8 features camps including Musical Theater; Daydreams, Wishes and Going for the Gold and The Green Team: Earth Explorers.

Niner Academy for rising grades 9-12 introduces campers to college and potential careers with camps such as Adventure with Venture for Teens, and Robotics for beginners and experienced high school students.

According to extended academic programs officials, Camps on Campus strives to offer safe, fun, hands-on and educational summer enrichment experiences.
