Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification
Online course available starting May 1
The White Belt program provides a brief overview of three of the most-widely used total quality management methodologies in industry today. The first half of the program covers an introduction to the Six Sigma methodology used to improve existing processes or design new processes. The second half of the program is a brief introduction to the methodology called Lean, which provides participants with the general knowledge of the terms used by practitioners in industry today.

Total Rewards
8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, UNC Charlotte Center City
This course will provide an overview of common and specialty compensation and benefits programs found in various industries. Components of a total compensation system will be explored. Participants in this program will learn how to review, choose, implement, administrate, and evaluate their in-house reward system.

Requirements Analysis and Design Definition
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday, May 5-6, UNC Charlotte Center City
The ultimate objective of a business analysis, process improvement or information technology project is to improve business results. This seminar will present proven approaches to analyzing current conditions, business needs and technology enablers. Verification and validation techniques will be used to assure proposed solutions meet the needs of users and customers.

Ethics 101
8:30 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, UNC Charlotte Center City
This course is designed to meet the two hours of ethics training CPAs in North Carolina must receive each year in order to meet the N.C. Board of Examiners requirements for certificate renewal. The course will discuss pertinent accountancy law in North Carolina as well as professional ethical issues and standards.

Evaluating Learning Impact and Data Analytics
8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Thursday, May 12, UNC Charlotte Center City
This course is directed to new and existing learning professionals who are tasked with measuring and evaluating the impact of learning and performance. It provides a solid foundation in measurement, evaluation strategies, data collection instruments, analyzing and interpreting data for any organization.

Recruitment and Selection
6 to 9:30 p.m., Monday, May 16, and Wednesday, May 18, UNC Charlotte Center City
The current and predicted employment trends are mandating that organizations will need to have a solid recruitment and selection strategy in place to remain competitive. To ensure these objectives are achieved, there must be a strong focus on attracting, screening and hiring the right candidate at the right time. This course is designed to educate participants on best practices around recruitment and selection to establish a clear framework for success.

Project Quality Management
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, May 17-18, UNC Charlotte Center City
This course focuses on the processes for successful quality management within projects and helps prepare project managers to complete these important tasks. It is aligned with the quality management processes outlined in the “PMBOK Guide” (fifth edition). The course provides exposure to the tools, techniques, and methods successful project managers use to manage the quality of their projects.

What is Human-centered Design and Why Should I Care?
Noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, UNC Charlotte Center City
This one-hour course is part of a free Brown Bag Series. Instructors will share how design has evolved from primarily focusing on products to being applied to services, experiences and holistic systems. Also, there will be a discussion on how intentional design, or the lack thereof, can impact individuals, communities and organizations.

Inplementing Process Change
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday, May 19-20, UNC Charlotte Center City
Implementing process change requires a powerful combination of “soft” skills and “hard” skills: techniques that will win widespread support for process changes and methodologies to implement the solution effectively. This includes soft skills, such as leadership coalition building, internal sales and communication, conflict management, and hard skills, such as strategic planning, project management and organizational alignment.

Generational Impact to Business
8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, UNC Charlotte Center City
This course will provide an overview of the generations. Participants will take a look at some of the key collision zones between the generations and gain insight on how to work well together and discuss the upcoming generations.

Solution Deployment and Evaluation
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, May 25-26, UNC Charlotte Center City
Creating an elegant, business-focused technology or process improvement solution is a worthy accomplishment; assuring that the solution is properly implemented and generates value on an ongoing basis is equally important. The skills and knowledge delivered in “Solution Deployment and Evaluation” will help ensure that mission-critical solutions live up to their potential.
