On Wednesday, July 27, workers began installing traffic lights at the University’s South Entrance, located at the intersection of University City and Cameron Boulevards.
Vehicle and pedestrian traffic will realize a safer egress/ingress as a result of the traffic signal, when fully operational. The N.C. Department of Transportation has been coordinating the construction of the signal, in conjunction with the city of Charlotte and the University.
On campus, along Cameron Boulevard, the University had added sidewalks and bike lanes near the intersection.
