Drawing on more than 50 years of photojournalism experience in motorsports, longtime NASCAR photographer and UNC Charlotte adjunct professor Bryant McMurray talks about the history of racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway ahead of the 2020 CocaCola 600 in Charlotte.

In 2014, J. Murrey Atkins Library Special Collections at UNC Charlotte acquired McMurray’s motorsports photography collection containing images of motorsports races, personalities and events from 1969 to 2016. Using images from the collection, McMurray teaches a course on the history of NASCAR.
