The Charlotte 49ers football team, under the leadership of head coach Will Healy, will play this year’s spring game at noon, Saturday, April 24, in Richardson Stadium. This event will be open to the public with stadium seating of 3,890 in accordance with current state health guidelines that call for limited capacity and social distancing. Face coverings will be required.
"We're so excited to be able to play in front of our fans," said Healy. "It will be great to build on our momentum, and I know our guys will be thrilled to get back onto the field with that buzz and that atmosphere."
Admission for the event is free, however prospective attendees must request tickets through an online form. Ticket requests will be taken until capacity is reached, and tickets will be sent via email starting on Monday, April 19. UNC Charlotte students can request their game ticket via the TicketReturn Student Portal starting at 8 a.m., Wednesday, April 14. Students can find all ticket and game day information on Charlotte49ers.com/students.
Parking will be available in CRI 2, CRI 3, and CRI Deck on a first-come, first-served basis. Tailgating will not be permitted.
In addition, the 49ers baseball program will move its April 24 doubleheader with Old Dominion to 2 p.m.
