Four individuals are this year’s Staff Employee of the Year as announced by the Human Resources Office Staff Awards and Recognition Program.
Carol Hartley, business services coordinator in the Department of Languages and Culture Studies, is the 2022 Employee of the Year in the category Devotion to Duty. In the Human Relations category, Kimberly Laney, director of Niner Central, is the recipient. Kiran Budhrani, associate director of personalized and adaptive learning at the Center for Teaching and Learning, is the Employee of the Year in the category of Innovation, and Courtney Hunt, event coordinator at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City, is the recipient in the category of Community and Public Service.
The 2022 Employees of the Year were chosen from among 49 staff members who were nominated either individually or as members of three teams; 40 nominations were submitted this year, the most ever.
All nominees and their supervisors will be invited to attend the Staff Employee of the Year Sweet Success Reception from 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 26. Award recipients will be honored at the event and will be featured in Niner Insider in the coming weeks.
