Submit proposals for Chancellor’s Diversity Challenge Fund

The Council on University Community is accepting proposals for the Chancellor’s Diversity Challenge Fund, which supports initiatives that promote the daily value of diversity in the intellectual life of the campus. Faculty, staff or students are eligible to apply for awards of up to $5,000.

New statewide Residency Determination Services for undergraduates to launch

Beginning Feb. 20, the University will no longer determine residency status for undergraduate students.

A centralized, uniform process, known as the Residency Determination Service (RDS), has been created to determine residency for tuition purposes and for the administration of state financial aid.

2017 call for nominations for student awards/honors

The Dean of Students Office is seeking nominations from faculty, staff and students for the Chancellor’s Citations for Leadership and Service and the Bonnie Cone Leadership, Noble Niner, Chuck Lynch and Derrick Griffith Servant Leader awards.

Extended Academic Programs course offerings for March

The Office of Extended Academic Programs offers numerous training opportunities. Discounts of up to 50 percent are often available for UNC Charlotte faculty and staff.  Some courses include continuing education and professional development credits for accountants, financial planners, human resource professionals, engineers, attorneys, paralegals, and project managers. Employees can register early for Camps on Campus

Camps on Campus, the University’s summer programs of academic enrichment camps for children and young people in rising grades one through 12, will embark on its 17th year this summer.

UNC Charlotte staff and faculty will be able to participate in early registration from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, by calling 704-687-8900. A valid UNC Charlotte ID is required.
