Michael Carlin has been named vice chancellor for information technology and chief information officer at UNC Charlotte. He will join the University July 16 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

UNC Charlotte’s Charlotte Research Scholars (CRS) program provides undergraduate students the training and experience to be successful in research, a critical component for graduate education. Arnold K. King may be one of the few individuals to have a building named in his honor on two UNC system campuses. Ten years before UNC Charlotte dedicated the King Building for him, UNC Wilmington put King’s name on an administrative and classroom building.
