The Honors College is hosting its inaugural “Failure Showcase” from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Cone University Center, McKnight Hall.This event is designed to destigmatize failure and empower students to grow. According to organizers, discussing failure in an open and acceptable manner demonstrates to students that failure is a necessary part of success.

At the 2019 ALL IN Challenge awards ceremony recognizing colleges and universities committed to increasing college student voting rates, UNC Charlotte received a silver seal for achieving a student rate between 30 and 39 percent. 

The Office of International Programs, in collaboration with campus partners, hosts the annual UNC Charlotte International Education Week (IEW) observance Monday, Nov. 18, through Friday, Nov. 22.This annual showcase is designed to highlight the role universities play in shaping global awareness and understanding.

Through an exclusive partnership with The Washington Center (TWC), UNC Charlotte will host hundreds of students from across the country for an extraordinary two-week educational program from Aug.16-28, 2020. 

Ventureprise’s 49er iChallenge Idea Pitch is an opportunity for all UNC Charlotte students to showcase their business or research ideas and receive the tools and resources to work on their entrepreneurial venture.Each student or team will have two minutes to pitch, which should include the problem identified, who is affected by the problem and the proposed solution.

UNC Charlotte is one of six universities nationally selected to participate in the Student Experience Project (SEP).

As Forbes magazine ranked Shelby, North Carolina, among America’s “most vulnerable cities” in 2008, a local task force had already set out to learn what cities in similar distress had done to pump new energy into their downtowns and draw out-of-towners.
