With more than 30,000 students enrolled at UNC Charlotte, many gain valuable experience and opportunities through student employment. However, few students take distinct ownership and pride of their work like Abby Patterson has, earning her the 2024 Student Employee of the Year Award. 
Patterson was recognized at the Student Employee of the Year luncheon in the Cone University Center Thursday, April 11. She was among 15 students nominated for the award. 

The five outstanding 2024 Staff Employee of the Year Award recipients were honored for their hard work and dedication to the campus community and beyond at a reception Wednesday, April 10, in the Popp Martin Student Union.

Charlotte joins several Charlotte-based companies on the list, including Duke Energy, Atrium Health and Bank of America.

UNC Charlotte offers eligible employees 12 paid holidays each calendar year, and the Human Resources Department publishes the approved holiday schedule annually.
