The University’s Voluntary Shared Leave Program can help employees who may not have sufficient leave to cover a prolonged absence as a result of their own medical condition or to care for an immediate family member. The Human Resources Department, in partnership with ITS and other campus units, has launched a new, fully online workflow for the tuition waiver program. 

Eligible full-time, permanent faculty and staff members can take up to three free courses a year from any of the 17 schools within the UNC system. Courses can be to earn a degree or simply pursue intellectual interests.
