On April 30, 2020, at 5:10 p.m., we will recognize the one-year anniversary of April 30 with “United: A Remembrance Program” — a virtual event that pays tribute to Reed Parlier and Riley Howell, and honors Drew, Emily, Rami and Sean, and all the students in the classroom that day.

The Dean of Students Office is seeking bell ringers for May’s commencement ceremonies. Faculty and staff should encourage graduating students to apply for this prestigious honor.Bell ringer is a tradition that recognizes outstanding student leaders who have demonstrated exemplary 49er spirit. The Dean of Students Office is seeking nominations for the following awards: Chancellor’s Citations for Leadership and Service, Bonnie Cone Leadership, Noble Niner, Chuck Lynch and Derrick Griffith Servant Leader.These honors recognize students who have made significant contributions to UNC Charlotte during their undergraduate careers and are given annually to graduating seniors who have shown outstanding qualities of scholarship and leadership.

On Veterans Day 2019, the University recognized military veterans for their service and officially opened Veterans Park, which honors UNC Charlotte community members past and present who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
