Code of Student Academic Integrity policy revised
University Policy 407, Code of Student Academic Integrity, was revised effective Aug. 15, to improve the proper and efficient functioning of the academic integrity process. These changes include adding timelines and deadlines for adjudicating cases, increasing the number of members of the Academic Integrity Board, removing the requirement that AIB members have “professorial rank” and adding suggested educational penalties.
Urban Institute’s Newsom elected chair of history museum board
Mary Newsom, director of urban policy initiatives at the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute, has been elected chair of the board of trustees at the Charlotte Museum of History. Newsom had been vice chair of the board, which she joined in 2013.
Niner Research Reception scheduled
The Office of Research and Economic Development will hold a Niner Research Reception from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 11, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center Salons.
This event will honor faculty grant recipients and others engaged in research on campus; a brief program will start at 12:15 p.m.

Spirion software added to computers
Spirion Sensitive Data Finder is now available on faculty/staff computers. This software allows employees to search their computers for Social Security numbers (SSN) and credit card information.

More than 100 undergraduate students competed in this year’s Charlotte Research Scholars Symposium, recently held as part of a University summer program for students pursuing bachelor’s degrees.

More than 100 undergraduate student research projects will be featured at this year’s Charlotte Research Scholars Summer Symposium, scheduled for 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center Salons.
Reminder on planned network outage and computer system upgrade
The second of three planned network outages by ITS will be 4 to 5 a.m., Friday, July 7. During this outage, internet access will not be available anywhere on campus.

Dell Destination RV on campus June 30
Members of the campus community are invited to check out Dell’s Destination RV on Friday, June 30, for some free food and drinks and a chance to see the latest Dell and Intel products.
Dell’s RV will be on campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the open plaza area between Kennedy and Rowe buildings.
